Looking for unique tees that will make you stand out from the crowd? “No. 303 Fighter Squadron” Limited Edition Cotton T-Shirt is inspired by the 303 Polish Fighter Squadron of the Royal Air Force (RAF) that took part in the Battle of Britain in 1940. The 303 Squadron was the highest scoring RAF squadron in the Battle of Britain and was named after General Tadeusz Kościuszko, a decorated war hero of the American Revolution and the engineer of the West Point Military Academy. With only 13 officers and 8 pilots, the 303 Squadron destroyed 126 German/Nazi airplanes, caused 13 missing and damaged another nine. It achieved the overall score of 4.7% of the enemy airplanes eliminated during the Battle of Britain. Although the Squadron was so effective in the defense of the Great Britain in the most crucial air battle of the World War II, the pilots of the 303 Squadron were not invited to the London Victory Parade of 1946. Largely forgotten for its war effort, the 303 Squadron was disbanded in December 1946. Today the Squadron’s history serves as an inspiration and symbol of courage and devout service to one’s country. A book describing the 303 Squadron’s history was written in 1942 by Arkady Fiedler and sold in over 1.5 million copies so far. This t-shirt is for guys who love their countries and are ready to serve them no matter what.
